The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of People's Power for
Transportation, reported that it is working to replace the guayas of the GJ Bridge.
Rafael Urdaneta on Lake Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia, is 78% complete.
The information was released by the transport portfolio through
a message posted on his Instagram account in which he assured that
technical work is essential and is part of a strategic plan of action to
guarantee useful life and preserve this architectural jewel of Western
Venezuela, ensuring its durability for years to come.
He also stressed that the work is being carried out by
specialized teams attached to the Ministry of Transport.
The works to preserve the bridge over Lake Maracaibo have been carried out in stages and also included the rehabilitation of the piles and bearings of the platform, as well as the asphalting from end to end.
