Some 120 families from three Urban Land Committees (CTU) in the Guaicaipura municipality, in Miranda state, received their urban land titles.

“We are doing an act of social vindication. It is nothing other than the giving of land titles to our people, not only to the CTU of the community of Los Teques parish, but also of the Paracotos parish,” said the governor in charge of Miranda state, Elio Serrano.

Serrano explained that after Decree 1,666, signed and approved by Commander Hugo Chávez Frías in 2002, to date, more than 1,600,000 land titles have been awarded throughout the country.

“This indicates to us that we have a commitment to our population. However, we have made all our strength available to our people, so that we can hand over their property title to families in our state,” he said.
