The Bolivarian Government, through the mayor's office of the Libertador municipality and the Government of the Capital District, awarded this Saturday the winning floats in the Caracas 2024 International Tourist Carnival parade.

During the event, held in Los Caobos Park, as part of the eighth of Carnival, Mayor Carmen Meléndez congratulated all the participants, cultivators and artists who made it possible to create the floats that toured the city during the festivities of King Momo.

He also highlighted the musical talent and the success of the Retumba Caracas concerts, while confirming his commitment to carrying out the objectives of the Viva Venezuela Mission, promoted by the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, last Friday.

For his part, the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, thanked all the parishes of Caracas for the effort and work put into all the floats.

In addition, he highlighted the advances in tourism in the capital city with the formation of the Tourism Institute and the “agenda that has been developed to turn Caracas into a tourist destination”.

Finally, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Ali Padrón, recognized the “work done by the Bolivarian Government in the area of tourism. Almost every day, flights arrive from Margarita to here (Caracas) loaded with Poles, Russians and Germans who enjoy the route of the Bolivar Chávez route, from San Agustín del Sur. It has been an effort to put Caracas back on the tourism radar.”
