The Bolivarian Government began the last phase of rehabilitation of the General Bridge in Chief Rafael Urdaneta in the state of Zulia, in which 16 kilometers of road will be serviced, in both directions.

The information was provided on his Instagram account, by the Minister of Popular Power for Transport, Ramón Velásquez, reported that the work will be completed in 30 days and a total of 20,000 tons of asphalt are planned to be placed to cover the surface.

This work is being carried out jointly with the Corporation for the Development of the Zulian Region (CORPOZULIA), Ministry of Popular Power for Petroleum, and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

On Saturday, October 19, the minister inspected Troncal 17 where an 18-inch collector was replaced at kilometer 75, in the Burro Negro sector, Lagunillas municipality, whose works are 75% complete, with only the installation of asphalt left to complete.

In addition, at kilometer 34 of Troncal 3, Miranda municipality, two 60-inch collectors are being replaced in the Los Guayabitos and Los Pirineos sectors, which record an increase of 75% and 85% respectively, in order to promote the safety and stability of the road that connects the Zulian entity with Falcón, according to a press release.

Velásquez Araguayán said that in this way, users will be provided with a transfer in a “safe, reliable and pleasant” manner.
