The Bolivarian Government handed over the fully rehabilitated Adriana Carmona Indoor Gymnasium in the Guanta municipality to the state of Anzoátegui, to increase the practice of taekwondo in the state of Anzoátegui.

The work was carried out with support from the National, Bolivarian Government of Ports (BOLIPORTS), in synergy with the Government of Anzoátegui and the Mayor's Office of Guanta.

The governor of Anzoátegui, Luis Marcano, led the delivery of the sports center together with the president of BOLIPUERTOS, Germán Gómez Lárez; the president of Venavega, David Quintana; the mayor of the jurisdiction, Yinder Saldivia and the honoree and glory of Venezuelan sports, Adriana Carmona.

Carmona received recognition for his outstanding career and invaluable contribution to taekwondo, in addition to being an inspiring example of discipline and excellence for present and future generations of athletes.

“These works have made it possible to improve the conditions under which the teaching of this discipline is taught in Anzoátegui, but from now on, with the vision that other combat sports will be incorporated into the practices of this gym,” said Marcano, through Instagram.

He explained that the rehabilitation work included internal and external painting, recovery of bleachers, roof, incorporation of the tatami. In addition to the kitchen renovation, bathrooms, bedrooms, and other improvements.

The Governor reaffirmed his commitment and absolute willingness to continue recovering sports infrastructure in the state.

He stressed that this gym will host the 4th Edition of the State Sports Games 2025, which takes place between the municipalities of Sotillo and Guanta.
