Authorities from the Bolivarian Government of the state of Anzoátegui were deployed this Monday in the Freites municipality to serve 22 families affected by the heavy rainfall caused by the flooding of the Amana River in the towns of Mundo Nuevo, Guayabal and El Amparo.

‎En In this regard, it became known that security and rescue teams from Civil Protection, Firefighters and the Freites mayor's office moved to the place where the route and monitoring of flooded areas and houses are maintained.

‎ “Recent weather events have caused some rivers such as the Amana to slip out of their course and, so far, there are some houses affected and access roads flooded to some rural areas,” said Jesús Varela, Single Authority of the Integrated System for Risk Management and Disaster Emergency Management.
