During an interview on the program En la Mira, broadcast on Uruguayan television, the country's vice-president-elect, Carolina Cosse, stated that there is no dictatorship in Venezuela.
“I am convinced of the self-determination of peoples and that to the extent that in Venezuela there is a president in free elections, Venezuela must solve its problems,” said the vice-president.
According to the last elections, Carolina Cosse will be part of the cabinet of the president-elect in Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi; the arrival represents the return of the left to power, after five years of center-right government.
With 97.48 percent of circuits counted, the Electoral Court confirmed the victory of the Broad Front in the presidential ballot. At that time of the ballot, the winning formula totaled 1 million 163 thousand 755 votes, while Álvaro Delgado-Valeria Ripoll reached 1 million 074,321.
