The Government of Aragua counts more than a thousand ophthalmic surgeries in CORA

Governor Karina Carpio reported that more than a thousand surgeries have been performed at the Aragua Regional Ophthalmological Center (CORA), thus strengthening the health sector in the region. These surgical interventions have covered several ophthalmic areas, including cataracts, glaucoma, retina, strabismus and Perigion.

Governor Carpio highlighted the importance of providing access to specialized and cutting-edge treatments to improve the quality of life of citizens, according to a press release.

In addition to surgeries, 1,937 ophthalmic emergencies were treated during 2024, providing a quick and efficient response to situations that require immediate attention. 12,807 ophthalmological studies have also been carried out, including cell count, visual field, Jarsen Argot and Yag Laser ultrasound. On the other hand, 5,916 consultations have been carried out at the institution's headquarters, covering areas such as general ophthalmology, arterial monitoring, glaucoma, strabismus and the retina.

In this way, Aragüeans can count on quality services free of charge thanks to the policies of the Bolivarian Government.
