The Lebanese Government thanks Russia for humanitarian aid

The Minister of Environment and coordinator of the Lebanese Government Emergency Center, Naser Yasin, thanked Russia for humanitarian aid in the face of the situation the country is going through due to recent attacks by Israel.
“We greatly appreciate this help and support for the Lebanese [by] the Russian Government and citizens in this difficult humanitarian situation, caused by Israeli aggression,” Yasin said at the Beirut airport.
Russia sent an Il-76 military transport plane to Lebanon with 33 tons of humanitarian aid, this Thursday.
Yasin, pointed out that Lebanon needs all kinds of assistance because of the current war scenario.
Israel and Lebanon have been in an undeclared war since October 8, 2023.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health, for its part, reported that, from September 16 to 27, Israeli attacks claimed the lives of 1 thousand 30 people, including 56 women and 87 children, and injured another 6 thousand 352, according to a press release from Sputnik.
