In a massive event held this Thursday, the Municipal Campaign Command was sworn in in in the state of La Guaira, with a view to the next elections on July 27.

The mayor and candidate for re-election by the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB), José Manuel Suárez, led the event and during his speech, he stressed that “Popular Power has continued to expand” and that today it is being consolidated thanks to the implementation of Self-Government Chambers and the direct administration of resources by communities.

“The Communal State is already a palpable reality in our 11 communal territories, from Caruao to El Junko. Today we launched communal pedagogy and deployed a true social army that will strengthen self-government from communes and communal circuits,” he said.

Suárez also recalled the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, stating that “we have a historic commitment that cannot be postponed to his vision of the country. As he himself said in his last days: 'I give you the commune as I would give you my life. '”

It should be noted that 73 Communal Self-Government Rooms were activated, as well as the delivery of 73 telephones that will allow direct communication between national authorities and grassroots leaders.
