The National Government delivered the first model house in the indigenous community of Guayana Esequiba

The governor of the state of Guayana Esequiba, Neil Villamizar, delivered the first model house to the indigenous community of Santa Cruz de Mapaurí, in the municipality of Gran Sabana.

Villamizar, in statements replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), explained that the construction respects the culture and ideas of the ancestral peoples.

“A true party in which we participated in traditional dances, shared with our grandparents and brought tools, contributing to the social care and well-being of the indigenous areas of Guayana Esequiba,” he said.

The governor also noted that a recreational day was organized for indigenous grandparents and grandmothers.

We have the task of recovering our territory and bringing the feeling of citizenship to the indigenous communities of Gran Sabana and our Guiana Esequiba, a town that had an iron and titanic struggle for the recovery of the Kueka grandmother stone,” he said.

Villamizar guaranteed that they will continue to promote the rebirth of Venezuela.
