The National Government maintains a comprehensive assistance plan in areas affected by a double earthquake

In addition, the sector vice-president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, highlighted the technical operation deployed in the national territory, stating: “More than 700 machines and equipment were involved in everything that is this operation, which is currently being carried out 24 hours a day.”

Regarding the electricity system, the Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, highlighted the efforts of the crews operating in the affected areas.

“We are still working on the rehabilitation and stabilization of the national electricity system. More than 2,500 workers in the electrical industry are deployed across the country. We must emphasize that we have recovered 100% of the transmission lines, we are still recovering megawatts of generation, so far more than 400 megawatts have already been added to the national electricity system, which has allowed the system to be stabilized in several sectors,” said Minister Alcalá.

On the part of the transport area, the Minister of People's Power for Transport, Francisco Garcés, detailed the advances in road and air connectivity: “From the Ministry of Transport, we have managed to restore passage in the 17 places that affected traffic during the first days of the earthquake. In the same way, the 9 affected bridges have already been rehabilitated and the other as many are being recovered. On the other hand, we have managed to re-establish the country's air connection with international airports.”

Finally, the Minister of the People's Power for Water Care, Carlos Mast Yustiz, offered the report corresponding to water and sanitation services: “We have resolved more than 185 faults in these seven states that were involved. We are recovering two important storage tanks for Yaracuy and we have also been working on the recovery of main pumping stations in the state of La Guaira that are already in service today. On the part of the sanitation service, it is also 100%.”
