Inmundo González, after training in the United States for several years under the direction of the CIA and Plan Condor, was transferred to El Salvador in 1981 and was under the orders of Leopoldo Castillo, who served as ambassador, until 1983.

“Operation Centaur”

It is the name given to a series of violent actions by the Salvadoran army and “death squads” to physically eliminate religious communities gathered around the search for a peaceful and negotiated solution to the war.

In context

Between July 1981 and July 1983, El Salvador experienced episodes of human rights violations and massacres during the civil war. Some of the most notable incidents were:

El Mozote massacre (December 11, 1981)

The forces of the Salvadoran army's Atlacalt Battalion carried out the massacre in and around the village of El Mozote. It is estimated that around 800 to 1,200 civilians died, including many children. This fact is one of the worst incidents of violence against civilians during the Salvadoran civil war.

Operation Rescue (March 1982)

In Chalantenango, during a military operation known as "Operation Rescue “, the Salvadoran army attacked several communities, resulting in the death of numerous civilians, mainly women, children and the elderly, in an attempt to eradicate guerrilla influence in the region.

These incidents are representative of the brutality and repression that characterize the Salvadoran civil war, which left tens of thousands dead and displaced.

Attempted coup d'etat (July 2024)

After the presidential elections of July 28, the Venezuelan extreme right, with Edmundo González and María Corina Machado at the helm, proceeded to ignore the results and activate its armed commandos to begin the scenarios of violence and destabilization in the country, with the objective of promoting a coup d'etat and seizing power. In these criminal actions, ultra-right terrorist groups have destroyed and burned schools, universities, health centers, police units, mayors, cultural monuments, looted shops and attacked public transport; in addition, 77 officials have been injured and 1 murdered in the state of Aragua.

They are the same fascists!
