The People are active this Sunday to participate in the second National Popular Consultation 2024

This Sunday, August 25, the Venezuelan people are active early on a national level to participate in the second National Popular Consultation 2024, for which the National Electoral Commission called on all Venezuelans over 15 years of age to participate and vote on this great day.

The only requirement needed to participate in the event is an identity card. The voting centers authorized for the National Popular Consultation will open their doors from 6:00am to 6:00pm in accordance with the Community Councils Act, but like any election, as long as there are people in the queues, the voting center will remain open.

The popular consultation is direct, popular, free and secret elections and this time it will take place across four thousand 505 communal circuits in the country, in which the People will choose from 27,420 projects that are proposed, which cover prioritized sectors such as health, education, food, environment, among others.

This activity is a form of organization based on law, where social welfare initiatives, which are selected by vote, will be directly funded by the Bolivarian Government and administered by the communities, who will guarantee the fulfillment of these projects.

The Popular Consultation is a program to promote the active, democratic and proactive participation of communities in the execution of works of various kinds, in which, in addition to being involved in their proposal, they have the possibility of directly managing the resources for this purpose.

This new form of organization and participation of Popular Power contemplates an agenda of communal meetings, in which spokespersons choose projects that then move on to an electoral process endorsed by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
