This Sunday, the president of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, arrived at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia.
The Iranian parliamentarian was received by the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil Pinto and the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Vásquez Araguayan; and he is expected to develop an important work agenda with Venezuelan authorities.
The visit of the parliamentarian seeks to strengthen ties of bilateral cooperation between both nations and reiterates the commitment of both governments to work to build a new world.
An example of the good diplomatic relations between Caracas and Tehran is the recent reception of Style Copies from the newly appointed ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Chegini, to Foreign Minister Yván Gil.
Diplomatic relations between these nations were officially established on August 9, 1950, but it was with the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela that the construction of a fruitful bilateral relationship began at the highest level.
