The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that this Friday, February 14, the Public Ministry (MP), through the 25th and 85th National Public Prosecutor's Offices for Human Rights, charged and deprived of liberty three officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) Vargas José (inspector), Chirinos Enderson (inspector) and Leal Ender (First Officer).

In the account of the social network Instagram, of the Public Ministry, he specifies that the charge is “for the crimes of Constriction to obtain sums of money, Illegitimate Deprivation of Liberty and Association to commit crimes”.

Saab said that they, using their position, illegitimately deprived their liberty and requested a sum of money from tourists Joris Ifye, of French nationality, and Angelica Enrrique, of Mexican nationality, in exchange for not arresting them for carrying a drone in their luggage.”

The prosecutor added that the Public Ministry will not allow any impunity in cases of police abuses or human rights violations.
