The Puente de Oro section in Táchira is still closed due to drainage works

The passage through the Puente de Oro section, in the La Laguna sector of the road to Rubio, remains closed this Monday after the heavy rainfall recorded in the last few hours, due to the execution of drainage and cleaning works in the area affected by the accumulation of mud and sediment.

The Government of the state of Táchira, through the Highway Institute (IVT), deployed a technical team for the removal of materials at the site, so the intervention will be subject to favorable weather conditions that allow the work to be completed, according to a press release from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

The president of the IVT, Ángel Márquez, reported that drivers of light vehicles and public transport can use the alternative road Las Dantas—San Antonio del Táchira—Capacho; in addition, he noted that the traffic control device will remain active until late at night to ensure drivers' safety while the eviction and drainage of water on the road is completed.
