The System will close the year with the presentation of The Marriage of Figaro

Members of El Sistema invite people from Caracas to enjoy the performances of The Marriage of Figaro on the 12th, 13th and 14th, under the direction of teacher Christian Vásquez, to mark the closing of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of its founding.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the production will also feature Marco Gandini and Massimiliano Bullo as vocal coach for the production. The three functions will take place in the Simon Bolivar Hall of the Center for Social Action for Music.

During these three performances, members of the national vocal Simon Bolivar and the young choir Ángel Sauce will participate. In addition, three casts and 29 soloists will be part of the work.

“It forces us to understand it from a dramatic point of view, what is happening, but musically it has a beauty, a richness and a sweet flavor, very beautiful to do. For me, every time these musical parts are done, it's like a balm,” said Anderson Piaspán, the actor who will play Figaro.

The Marriage of Figaro is a buffoon or comedy, considered one of Mozart's best creations and one of the most important works in the history of music.
