The town of Boca del Rio joins the call for the release of the Venezuelan presidential couple

This Tuesday, the great Hugo Chávez peace base in Boca del Rio became the epicenter of popular resistance and dignity. In this space, the mayor of the Bolivarian municipality of Macanao Peninsula, Nueva Esparta state, Carlos Sulbarán, participated in the municipal assembly of the Original Constituent Power for the Liberation of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores.

It was a historic day, marked by the unison clamor of a people demanding the immediate release of the presidential couple from the Venezuelan homeland.

The Peninsular Mayor confirmed his absolute loyalty to the revolutionary process and urged the popular bases, social movements and the structure of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) to remain on the fighting ground, remembering that the Original Constituent Power is the highest expression of Venezuelan sovereignty.

“The kidnapping of our national leaders represents a direct attack on the will of the Venezuelan people. No one gives up here. From this fishing and peaceful town, we say to the world and especially to the North American government, that we are kneeling on the ground with our president Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores. We are sons of Bolívar and Chávez and we will defend our independence with the strength of the Constituent Power,” said Sulbarán.

The activity was attended by the CDCE municipal team, directors of educational institutions, teaching, administrative staff, workers, domestic cooks, municipal PSUV team, Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole, JPSUV, Organizations and Social Movements.
