During the Anti-Imperialist Tribune held in Caracas, representatives of the Working Class and popular movements expressed their support for President Nicolás Maduro and rejected the interference promoted by the U.S. government.

“The Venezuelan people are not afraid and will remain on the streets defending national sovereignty,” said Nahum Fernández, vice president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

He emphasized that sectors of the extreme right have turned to foreign forces in search of military support, ignoring the constitutional debate and national dialogue.

He denounced disinformation campaigns on social networks and unfounded accusations of drug trafficking. “The United States, with seven military bases in Colombia, has increased drug production in that country. However, they accuse Venezuela without foundation,” he said.

For his part, Hernán Iriarte, councilor and representing the working class, reiterated his rejection of foreign interference and reaffirmed his commitment to peace.

“Our working class is priceless. We are guarantors of the well-being, production and comprehensive defense of the homeland,” he said.

He emphasized that the working class is organized and mobilized in defense of the socialist project and national sovereignty. “If they want to find the working class, they will find it in the streets, with President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution,” Iriarte concluded.
