Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), stationed in the state of Apure, intercepted and neutralized an aircraft, said the Strategic Operational Commander (CEOFANB), GJ Domingo Hernández Lárez.

The head of the CEOFANB explained that within the framework of Operation Bolivarian Shield 2025, the members of the FANB, thanks to the early warning radar system of the Aerospace Power of the Territorial Defensive System, detected the course of a moving vector entering the country through the east of the Bolivar state, without issuing an identification code, with the transponder system turned off, heading west (Bolivar-Amazonas-Apure) without identification. “Legal checks were carried out with the Maiquetía FIR and when it was found that it had no flight plan, it declared itself hostile,” he said.

In this regard, he specified that it was a twin-engine aircraft type Cessna 310 in white color with a green stripe without visible license plates, intercepted with three F-16 fighter systems and forcing it to make a forced landing in the Pedro Camejo municipality of the state of Apure. With this action. There have been 419 aircraft unused since the enactment of the law, sanctioned in 2013.

“Venezuela is a land of peace, freedom and democracy, law and justice, where drug trafficking is being fought daily and head-on, we do not produce, we do not process or consume, much less will we be a platform for transnational narco-terrorism,” emphasized GJ Hernández Lárez, adding that this is the 28th aircraft neutralized in 2025.
