In a meeting with regional coordinators of the National School Food Corporation (CNAE) and educational authorities, they evaluated measures to optimize the distribution and quality of food in schools in the country. The Deputy Minister of Facilities and Logistics of the Ministry of Education and president of the CNAE, Willian Gil, pointed out the importance of strengthening the production and training of staff, with the purpose of ensuring adequate nutrition for students.

During the day, strategies were discussed to improve the efficiency of the program and expand its reach. Each representative presented a diagnosis of the state of school feeding in their jurisdiction, along with proposals to improve the logistics and administration of the service. In addition, the needs to establish alliances with local producers were addressed, in order to facilitate access to quality inputs and promote sustainable supply.

Gil emphasized the importance of adapting school food policy to the specific needs of each community. “We are here to review, correct and advance a system that responds to local realities and guarantees the well-being of our student population. Food is part of learning,” he said.

Another of the central points of the meeting was the strengthening of infrastructure and the training of the personnel responsible for the preparation and distribution of food. The improvement in these aspects will make it possible to optimize management and ensure the continuity of the School Feeding Program (PAE) at all levels of education.

The representatives of the Ministry of Education and the CNAE reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring food in schools as part of the integral development of students. It is expected that the strategies proposed at this meeting will contribute to improving the operability of the program and offering an efficient service for the school population.
