This Wednesday, April 16, thousands of parishioners gathered at the Basilica of Santa Teresa, in Caracas, to express their unprecedented faith, devotion and love for the Nazarene of Saint Paul.

The Christian faith overflows this Holy Wednesday in the streets of Caracas with the traditional procession of the Nazarene of Saint Paul, where thousands of devotees gathered in Plaza Diego Ibarra, near the Basilica of Saint Teresa, to accompany the Son of God on his journey through the avenues of the city.

People of all ages, social classes and religions come together in this act of faith, dressed in purple robes, they become the main protagonists of this historic moment in the Catholic religion, when the so-called Lemon Tree of the Lord crosses the corner of La Pedrera with the Virgin of Solitude, two of the most venerated images of the capital city.

The route led to the Nazarene from the Basilica of Santa Teresa to Plaza Diego Ibarra, a road that crosses emblematic places such as La Palma, San Pablo, Avenida Universidad, Sucre, Plaza O'Leary and Avenida Oeste 8.

As part of the religious day, the first mass was presided over by Fray José Juan de Paz, accompanied by other priests from various parishes and religious communities.

This liturgical act began a day of prayers and promises that would culminate in the procession, in which the Nazarene would experience a reunion with the image of Our Lady of Solitude, after 30 years.
