This Friday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that three journalists died and three more were injured as a result of an air strike carried out by Israel in the south of the country, aimed at dismantling press equipment at their residence in Hasbayya.
Among the victims are the martyrs Ghassan Najjar, a cameraman, and the broadcasting engineer Mohammed Reda, both employees of the Al Mayadeen media outlet. Cameraman Wissam Qasim, from the Al Manar channel, also died.
The Union of Lebanese Press Editors described this action as a “horrible massacre” perpetrated by Israel against the media.
Ghassan Ben Jeddou, president of the Board of Directors of the pan-Arab network, also spoke on the matter, stating: “The occupation enjoys killing, and among its objectives are journalists who have exposed their crimes, which generates sadistic hatred towards them.”
This deliberate aggression underlines that Al Mayadeen and Al Manar are voices that disturb the Zionist entity by revealing their plans that threaten human lives.
