With the passage of a cargo truck, the vehicle passage was reopened on the road connecting the states of Barinas and Mérida, whose terrain was severely affected by the rains caused by the passage of tropical wave No. 9.

According to a press release from CORPOELEC, the work was completed after 140 hours of continuous work by multidisciplinary teams from the Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services, as part of the deployment of the Andes 2025 Task Force.

In the entity, more than 70 machines are still active in order to comprehensively rehabilitate accesses collapsed by landslides and edge faults.

In addition to these actions related to roads, there is the forthcoming start of housing recovery and construction of new urban developments to ensure the protection of Merida's families.
