The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reported this Wednesday on the progress and development of Tropical Wave number 18 over Venezuelan territory, a system that is causing abundant cloud cover, rainfall of varying intensity and persistent electrical discharges, with special impact on the central region, the east and the south of the country.

According to special bulletins issued by the agency and replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), the authorities maintain strict monitoring of the Miranda and La Guaira regions due to the rapid development of rapidly evolving convective centers.

The weather report warns that these weather conditions have an imminent tendency to directly affect the Capital District in the coming hours, so citizens are urged to make appropriate forecasts for the intensity of rainfall.

The climate landscape also extends strongly to the rest of the national geography, with cloud cover associated with showers and electrical activity in Guiana Esequiba, Bolívar, the south of Delta Amacuro, Anzoátegui, Sucre, Nueva Esparta and the east of Falcón state.

In addition, stratiform cloud cover generating scattered rain and drizzle has been reported in the Western Plains, the Andes, Lara and the south of the state of Zulia, so risk management bodies reiterate the call for prevention and to keep an eye on official channels.
