Tropical waves 44 and 45 arrive in Venezuela with heavy rains

This Wednesday morning, tropical waves number 44 and 45 arrived with intense rainfall in almost every state of Venezuela, according to forecasts announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH).

In the Venezuelan capital, there are heavy rains with cloud cover and electrical activity; while for the rest of the North Coastal Zone (Carabobo, Aragua, Vargas, Miranda), cloudy skies and scattered rains are forecast during the course of the day.

In Zulia, Táchira, Mérida, Trujillo, Barinas, Apure, Falcón, Lara, Yaracuy, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Guárico, Amazonas, Bolívar, Anzoátegui, Margarita, Monagas and the Delta, there would be cloud cover and possible rain.

The area with the highest accumulated rainfall nationwide will be Caicara del Orinoco in Bolívar with 75mm.

Tropical wave 44 had a displacement of 30 kilometers per hour, entering Guiana Essequiba between October 14 and 15; while number 45 is currently in Cape Verde and will arrive in the country this weekend, INAMEH said.
