Türkiye: Death toll from terrorist attack in Ankara rises to five

Last Wednesday, Türkiye's Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, reported that the number of fatalities from the terrorist attack against a facility of the Turkish aerospace company Tusaş in the capital, Ankara, rose to five, while 22 were injured.

“The death toll rose to five, 22 people were injured, 19 of them remain in hospitals, two in serious condition,” the minister told the press.

According to information published by Telesur, the incident occurred after a suicide attacker detonated an explosive device near a Tusaş facility outside Ankara.

The authorities released the identities of the deceased. They are Cengiz Coşkun, who worked as a quality control officer at the institution, mechanical engineer Zahide Güçlü, employee Hasan Hüseyin Canbaz, security officer Atakan Şahin Erdoğan and taxi driver Murat Arslan.
