UN: More than 500 thousand people in Sudan are at risk of starvation

The United Nations (UN) Food Aid Agency warned that at least 500,000 people in Sudan are at risk of dying of hunger due to the paralysis of the World Food Programme (WFP).
In this regard, Laurent Bukera, director of WFP, indicated that humanitarian aid will resume when the fighting ceases, according to a press release from Fuser.
It should be noted that the clashes in Sudan began on April 15, 2023. This conflict, known as the Sudanese Civil War, pits the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in a fight for control of the country.
