UN Secretary General said that humanitarian aid to Gaza is “scandalously” blocked

This Tuesday, the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, said that the humanitarian “nightmare” in the Gaza Strip is not due to logistical problems.

Guterres also wrote in X: “In the midst of Gaza's gigantic humanitarian needs, aid is being shockingly blocked. The nightmare is not a logistics crisis. It is a crisis of political will and respect for the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law.”

On Sunday, the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) suspended the delivery of aid to the enclave through the important Kerem Shalom crossing due to serious security concerns.
