A team of students from the National University of Sciences Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán participated in planting 650 new trees at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), as part of a reforestation program designed to recover areas affected by degradation.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the species planted include coffee, cacao, avocado and bucare.

The activity was attended by the Deputy Minister of Environmental Management Services of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Teresa Carrasquel, who was responsible for inspiring and motivating young people during this day of reforestation.

These new trees enrich the institute's spaces and represent students' commitment to ecological preservation and the promotion of a collective awareness oriented towards sustainability.

This initiative is part of the Great Mother Earth Venezuela Mission and the Tree Mission, both initiatives focused on promoting respect for natural resources, environmental restoration and the priority of protecting the planet among young people.
