The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry for Science and Technology (MINCYT), activated a new and modern Robotics Center at the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), to strengthen scientific and technological knowledge.
The inauguration of the Robotics Center was held as part of the Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission, especially vertices one and two that establish the planting of national talent and the strengthening of spaces for research.
“From the UBV, our students will be able to enjoy these spaces where they will generate knowledge, create projects, design parts and pieces and will converge with the entire national robotics agenda,” said the Deputy Minister for the Communalization of Science for Production, Danmarys Hernández.
Hernández, according to a MINCYT press release, stressed that “access to information and communication technologies is a fact thanks to the policies of the Venezuelan State, thanks to the commitment of our president Nicolás Maduro and to paying honor and tribute to distinguished Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán”.
For her part, the rector of the UBV, Sandra Oblitas, celebrated the inauguration of the robotics center and assured that students and teachers are already making use of the equipment installed in the study house.
“Where you have to learn, you have to generate knowledge and where you can test your creativity for transformation,” he said.
He also recalled that the Great Mission Science, Technology and Innovation, created by President Nicolás Maduro, was founded to “guarantee science, to guarantee knowledge and to ensure that spaces such as the UBV can contribute to the country from the training perspective of their professionals.”
