The senator of the Republican Party of Utah, Mike Lee, called for the United States (USA) to stop giving money to Ukraine in reaction to the news that Washington wants to provide an additional 1.25 billion dollars in military aid to Kiev.

“Please, no more money to Ukraine. There is so much they can wash,” said the legislator. In addition, in his X account he published a photograph of the Ukrainian flag with the text “universal symbol of money laundering” he wrote on the social network X.

Mike Lee was one of the senators who voted against granting aid of almost 60 billion dollars to Ukraine in April, according to Russia Today (RT). The legislator described the law as “erroneous”, “shameful” and considers that the day of its approval was a “sad day for the United States”.

Previously, the president-elect, Donald Trump, stated that Ukraine will probably not receive as much military aid as it does now from the United States when he officially returns to the White House.

The Republican disagreed with the decision of the current president, Joe Biden, to authorize long-range missile attacks against Russian territory, and said that it is possible that he will rescind it. In addition, he has urged an immediate ceasefire in the Ukrainian conflict and called for the start of negotiations.
