The Valencia Art Museum (MUVA), attached to the National Museums Foundation, will reopen its doors to the public next Saturday, November 1, with the simultaneous inauguration of seven exhibitions with different artistic expressions.
After a profound remodeling process,
starting next month, the public will be able to enjoy in the Luis Eduardo
Chávez and José La Rosa (No. 1) exhibition “Botero: The Sensuality of
Forms”, an exceptional exhibition dedicated to the universal master of form and
volume, Fernando Botero.
In addition, rooms 2 and 3 will be the
setting for the exhibition “Inventory: Open Vaults”, where
a significant selection of the valuable collection protected by MUVA itself will be presented.
Room 4 will host the exhibition “Our Alexis
Mujica”, marking the beginning of a tribute to one of the main Venezuelan
masters of sculpture. While rooms 5 and 6 will be exhibiting
“Oniria Colombeia”, a significant work by the creator Édgar Álvarez Estrada (1950-2025).
Finally, in room 7, the whole family,
and especially children, can enjoy “RGB. The colors of the
century”. This thematic, educational and itinerant exhibition was
conceived by the artist Carlos Cruz-Diez in Paris in 2014 and has been exhibited
with great success in various international spaces.
In addition, the attached spaces of the
museum will present two special exhibitions: the Quintín Hernández space will host
the wonderful exhibition “Metallic Worlds” by Teresa Espinal, while,
in the Galia space, the boys and girls who are students from the permanent
MUVA workshops will pay a heartfelt tribute to Fernando Botero and Alexis Mujica with their exhibition “Between Dogs and Cats”.
