Venezuela accompanied Indonesia in offering to the Liberator for the 80th anniversary of its independence

The Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Rubén Darío Molina, accompanied the ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia accredited to Venezuela, Fikry Cassidy, at the wreath-giving ceremony to the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the National Pantheon of Caracas, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the independence of this southeastern nation Asian.

During the protocol ceremony, in which part of the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela was present, the authorities, amidst the glorious notes of their respective national anthems, symbolically ratified the solid alliance of brotherhood and solidarity that dates back to 1959 and has allowed for more than six decades to advance in the expansion of strategic cooperation in the field of trade and investment in different areas, under the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

On the basis of complementarity and with the objective of adhering to the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), Venezuela, within the framework of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace instructed by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, consolidates trade relations with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

In August 1945, Jakarta proclaimed its independence, after centuries of Dutch rule . Indonesia was the first country after the Second World War to fight for its emancipation and was recognized by the newly founded United Nations Organization .
