Venezuela and China deepen strategic cooperation on earthquake management and prevention

Venezuelan authorities held a working meeting with a delegation from the Seismic Administration of the People's Republic of China, with the objective of consolidating strategic alliances in the prevention, monitoring and management of earthquake activity in the country, with the help of the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS).

This was reported by the Minister of People's Power for Science and Technology, Yván Gil, on his digital channels, where he added that during the meeting, delegations addressed the optimization and strengthening of national seismological networks, as well as the development of cutting-edge technology for early warning systems.

He added that to the same extent, joint mechanisms aimed at administration and effective response to disaster situations were coordinated, reinforcing the State's preparation for risk management.
