The Minister of People's
Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, received in his
office this Tuesday the ambassador of the People's Republic of China accredited to the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Lan Hu, to reaffirm ties of friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
“During our
conversation, we reaffirmed the importance of working to safeguard international
law, which is fundamental to guarantee a world of peace and
justice, where sovereignty is respected and the free
economic and political development of peoples is promoted,” said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister through his social networks.
Both
diplomats ratified the strong brotherhood and mutual support between Caracas and
Beijing, “within the framework of the 'Strategic Partnership for All Time and Trial',
consolidated in 2023.”
Faced with the recent military
aggression of the United States (USA) against Venezuela, which resulted in the
kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, China
has raised its voice in a forceful way to reject what it described as
a violation of international law, in addition to demanding the immediate release
of the presidential couple.
