During the Hong Ting Forum: Dialogue between Civilizations, held in the José Félix Ribas Hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Rodolfo Sanz presented his paper on the Non-Oil Economic Model, framed in the 7 Transformations promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.

Sanz explained that this model represents a new phase of transition to socialism, based on a systemic vision that merges economic modernization, social prosperity and the construction of an ecosocialist society, through political consensus and the full exercise of State sovereignty.

In his speech, the parliamentarian valued as positive cooperation with the People's Republic of China in the implementation of special economic zones, an experience that he described as “the most brilliant of the 20th century”. He added that currently economic planning in Venezuela is oriented towards the territorialization of investment, taking advantage of regional vocations to promote productive training that strengthens national development.

Sanz also emphasized the creation of a new binational financial system, adapted to the digital and global context, that allows the country to position its currency against other international references beyond the dollar and the euro.

For his part, the regional director for Latin America of the Xinhua agency, Jiang Yan, stressed the shared will between China and Venezuela to build a strategic model of cooperation. He noted that both countries are charting a common path towards sustainable development, framed in the concept of a “community with a shared future for humanity”, which he said has gained international support and has even been incorporated into United Nations documents.

“Creating a better world and a bright future together” was the most important point that marked his speech, in which he also highlighted peace as an indispensable condition for achieving true and lasting prosperity.

It should be noted that the Hong Ting Forum constitutes a space for reflection and debate on the theoretical bases that underpin the political projects of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People's Republic of China. This meeting promotes mutual understanding, multilateralism and respect for civilizations, in an international context characterized by profound and accelerated transformations.
