This Tuesday, authorities from Venezuela and Colombia met in the state of Táchira to promote the Binational Special Economic Zone of the Border. This initiative was coordinated by both foreign ministries, according to detailed information by the governor of the entity, Freddy Bernal, through the social network Instagram.

“I am entering a High-Level Meeting where the Colombian authorities and Venezuelan authorities with the presence and coordination of both foreign ministries and in order to promote what we have been working on, the Binational Special Economic Zone of the Border,” Bernal explained.

In the message, he specified that the dream of Táchira and the department of Norte Santander continues, in order to move forward with patience and strength in the Binational Special Economic Zone of the Border to promote the economy of both nations.

Since April, Governor Freddy Bernal reported that the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) project in the region continues to move forward with the objective of boosting production and consolidating a solid base for economic development.

It also seeks to strengthen cross-border trade, attract strategic investments and promote progress in agriculture, tourism, and other sectors.
