Venezuela and Cuba commemorate 25 years of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement with a wreath to the Liberator

The Deputy Minister for Latin America of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Rander Peña, accompanied the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Venezuela, Jorge Mayo Fernández, in an emotional wreath before the sarcophagus that protects the mortal remains of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the National Pantheon of Caracas, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement.
The protocol ceremony was also attended by those in charge of the Cuban Medical Mission in Venezuela, Yuslevy Martínez Carmona and Ángel Zabala Ramírez; and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
Caracas and Havana maintain a very close brotherhood, based on the endearing friendship forged by commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro, who on October 30, 2000 signed the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, with a wide reach in strategic areas such as education and health.
En in the context of the XIX Midterm Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (MNOAL), which was held this week in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, spoke with his counterpart from Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, whom he “thanked for his unwavering voice in denouncing the dangerous military deployment of the United States in the Caribbean, a threat that puts the lives of our peoples at risk”.
