Venezuela and Iran reinforce cooperation on telecommunications and digital transformation

The Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, held a meeting with the Minister for Communications and Information Technology of Iran, Dr. Seyed Sattar Hashemi, who is in the country fulfilling a work schedule.
During the meeting, described in a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the agenda maintained by both nations in the scientific and technological area was reviewed.
“At this meeting, we talked about new agendas for scientific and technological cooperation in the field of Telecommunications, Digital Transformation and AI,” wrote Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez on her Telegram channel.
Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez highlighted Venezuela's relationship with Iran and asserted that the Persian nation “is a global leader in science and technology.
To strengthen cooperation between the two nations, Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez said, “the exchange of researchers and new technology projects for the mutual well-being of both nations” was addressed.
Venezuela and Iran have 73 years of diplomatic relations, with a broad agenda of cooperation and work, which deepens friendship between peoples, their economic and social growth and at the same time promotes solidarity based on mutual respect.
