Venezuela and Lebanon strengthen their bilateral ties

The Foreign Ministry of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reported on a diplomatic meeting between the Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, and the ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon accredited to Venezuela, Elías Lebbos.

The objective of this meeting was to consolidate bilateral ties between the two countries, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, in a press release on its account on the social network Telegram.

During the visit, the diplomat expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Lebbos for his presence at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre.

Pugh Moreno highlighted the importance of relations between Venezuela and Lebanon, which have lasted for 78 years since their inception on July 10, 1946.

For his part, Ambassador Lebbos expressed his solidarity and support for the Venezuelan Government and its institutions, as well as for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

This meeting reaffirms the mutual commitment to strengthening historical ties and friendship between both nations.

The meeting represents a significant step towards closer cooperation and shared understanding on issues of common interest. Cultural, commercial and political ties between Venezuela and Lebanon continue to be a fundamental pillar in international diplomacy.

The established binational cooperation ties cover areas such as commerce, industry, agriculture, energy, culture, technical and university professional education, as well as communication and information.
