Venezuela and Nigeria review progress on gas production projects

In the context of the 58th session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), which is being held in Geneva - Switzerland, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, held a meeting this Monday with his counterpart from Nigeria, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

On his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan diplomat reported that, during the meeting, the progress of joint projects in the field of gas production was reviewed.

The Foreign Minister also reiterated Venezuela's commitment “to the future of solidarity cooperation, for which we continue to work with enthusiasm.”

Diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Nigeria were established in 1965, resulting in the signing of 21 common projects in areas such as communication and information, defense, the fight against money laundering, air services and gas production, among others.

Prior to this meeting, the head of the Foreign Relations portfolio, in order to promote Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Versan Aghabekian, to whom he reiterated Venezuela's solidarity with his Government and people.
