Venezuela and Russia fine-tune economic agenda for the binational Business Forum

The ambassador of the Russian Federation to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, held a meeting with the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, with the objective of reviewing the prospects for economic-commercial cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the preparations for the Business Forum “Russia and Venezuela — Strategic Partners”, scheduled for October 28 and 29 in Caracas, were discussed.
The event seeks to consolidate spaces for direct coordination between representatives of the productive sector of both countries.
The authorities paid special attention to strengthening bilateral mechanisms, increasing trade and promoting ties between Russian and Venezuelan companies.
The agenda included proposals aimed at boosting economic relations in strategic areas.
The Russian diplomat expressed confidence in the progress achieved. “Russia and Venezuela are constantly developing a mutually beneficial economic partnership. I am convinced that the next forum will be another step towards strengthening business ties and opening up new areas of cooperation,” he said.
The meeting reaffirms the commitment of both governments to the promotion of a solid commercial platform, capable of generating concrete opportunities for shared development and the diversification of their economies.
