Venezuela and Russia highlighted the importance of hydrocarbons in bilateral ties

In order to highlight the importance of hydrocarbons in bilateral ties between Venezuela and Russia, the first Meeting of the Russia-Venezuela Business Council was held.

The executive director of the Council, Tatiana Mashkova, was present at the conference, who highlighted the initiative supported by the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the country, according to Petroleos de Venezuela, on her social network account X.

For his part, the president of the binational bank Evrofinance, Sergey Yarosh, highlighted the potential of the Venezuelan oil sector.

The Russia-Venezuela CIAN are expanding the strategic cooperation alliance between Caracas and Moscow, under the principles of mutual respect and shared development.

Since the beginning of the CIAN, Venezuela and Russia have held 17 bilateral meetings over 21 years, with a total of 342 instruments signed in the commercial, technical-military, energy, agricultural, food, transport, science, technology and public health areas.

The Russia-Venezuela Business Council is a body created within the framework of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN) 2023.
