Venezuela and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines reaffirm historic friendship during meeting in New York

At the close of his agenda of bilateral meetings in New York, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, discussed issues of common interest to his governments with the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Godwin Friday, whom he received at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Venezuela in the American city , on behalf of the President Delcy Rodriguez.

On his social networks, the Venezuelan foreign minister said that, during the meeting, they reaffirmed the historic friendship between the two countries.

“We thank Prime Minister Friday for his visit, as well as his commitment to continue building a relationship of respect, dialogue and cooperation between Venezuela and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Our country, as also a Caribbean nation, exalts the potential and importance of this region for the stability and prosperity of the Americas,” he said.

The match took place on the sidelines of 81. th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

At the end of March, Prime Minister Friday visited the headquarters of the Venezuelan Embassy in his country, where he recognized the work of the Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation (IVCC) as a space for formation, cultural exchange and binational human approach.

Days before, on March 21, the Vincentian president met with the Venezuelan representation in Bogotá, Colombia, within the framework of the CELAC-Africa High Level Forum and the X Summit of Heads of State of CELAC, sharing words of friendship and mutual respect.
