Ambassador Reinaldo Bolívar received at the Venezuelan Diplomatic Mission in Tunisia the pianist and director of the Department of Musicology of the Higher Institute of Music, Ikbel Hamzaoui, in order to discuss joint plans to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries, with an immense artistic heritage that symbolizes each one's national identity.
Hamzaoui said that he is working with Venezuela to disseminate Caribbean genres such as salsa in Tunisia, which will soon be giving several concerts with the participation of Venezuelan musicians, starting in December of this year, for which they have the joint support of the Venezuelan Embassy, as reported by Bolívar, on his account on the social network Telegram.
The diplomat and the pianist agreed to work together to celebrate 60 years of Venezuela-Tunisia diplomatic relations in March 2025, with a concert that brings together musicians from both countries. Tunisia is a country with an intense cultural movement in all areas. Musically, several Venezuelan artists, as well as the “Simon Bolivar” National Orchestra System, have visited this nation.
