The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a working meeting this Thursday, in his office in Caracas, with the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Vu Trung My.

“During this meeting, we reaffirm Venezuela's commitment to continue strengthening a high-level political and economic alliance between our nations, with the objective of promoting mutual development,” Foreign Minister Gil said in a message posted on his Telegram channel.

On December 18, Caracas and Hanoi will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, with a series of political and cultural activities aimed at strengthening the binational alliance, which is based on three fundamental pillars: relations between governing parties, diplomatic relations and people-to-people relations.

Recently, regarding the XVI BRICS Summit, held in Kazan, Russia, President Nicolás Maduro Moros met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Cinh, at which they ratified the vision of a multipolar world.

During a visit by the Vietnamese delegation to Venezuela, on April 18 of this year, comprehensive cooperation agreements were signed, covering various areas of working together, such as: oil, gas, petrochemicals, industries and tourism.
