The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected this Wednesday the crimes against humanity carried out by Israel against the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon and Iran, calling on the international community to stop the escalation of war by the Zionist regime of Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a statement, released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, he urged the world “to mobilize to restore legality and stop the genocide against the Palestinian people and Lebanon, as well as the unrestrained race to take control of the region, by Israel and the United States of America.”

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela follows in detail the recent events in the Middle East that have motivated an action by the Islamic Republic of Iran, invoking its right to self-defense, as established in Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, in response to threats and crimes against humanity committed by the Netanyahu regime against Palestine, Lebanon and the the Iranian people, including violations of their sovereignty and territorial integrity and the murder of innocent civilians, as well as political and military leaders of these countries.
The inaction shown by the United Nations Security Council, paralyzed by the complicit veto exercised by the United States of America, has prevented Netanyahu from stopping aggressions and non-compliance with international law, which continues to be the greatest threat to security in the region.
It is urgent that Israel's escalation of war be stopped throughout the region and that its responsibility for the war crimes committed by its government be determined. The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela urges the international community to mobilize to restore legality and stop the genocide against the Palestinian people and Lebanon, as well as the unrestrained race to take control of the region, by Israel and the United States of America, which has triggered serious consequences for international peace and stability.
