In a statement, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed on Monday its rejection of the coercive measures imposed by the Government of the United States (USA) on the Republic of Nicaragua.

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its solidarity with the people and government of the Republic of Nicaragua and rejects the renewal of the infamous executive order that qualifies that sister nation as an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, thus justifying illegal coercive measures against the Nicaraguan people,” highlights part of the statement shared by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil.

In addition, in the text, Venezuela emphasized that with these actions, the United States “shows once again its contempt for international law and its insatiable thirst to destabilize governments that defend their sovereignty and dignity.”
